Zoning
Killington adopted a registration ordinance in 2024. No unit cap, no primary-residence requirement, no zoning-class ban. STR permitted by right across all residential and resort zones — the town's economy is built on the Killington Resort + Pico Mountain ski operation, and the ordinance reflects that posture. Mountain Green, Trail Creek, Killington Center, Highridge, and Sunrise condominium complexes hold the bulk of inventory; many have HOA-level rental program requirements layered on top.
STR allowed in Resort (RES), Village Center (VC), Commercial (C), and all residential districts (R-1, R-3, R-5, R-10). Slopeside and trailside condominium complexes commonly require HOA-managed rental programs — direct-to-Airbnb listings may violate condo covenants in Highridge, Mountain Green, Trail Creek, etc. Confirm HOA rules separately.
